M1911 was design by John M. Browning and the standard side arm for United State armed forces from 1911 to 1985. M1911 very popular in Word War 1, World War 2, Korean War and Vietnam War. Hiram S. Maxim designed a self loading pistol in the 1880. The M1911 pistol was desgined in the late 1890s to replace the variety of revolvers. M1911 was adopted by the Navy and Marine Coprs in 1913 followed the success of Colt pistol on March 29, 1911.
In 1924 World War 1 led to some more small external changes of M1911. The new version received a modified type classification, M1911A1. M1911A1 had a shorter trigger, cutouts in the frame behind the trigger, a curved mainspring housing, a longer grip safety spur, a wider front sight, a shorter spur on the hammer, and simplified grip checkering.
Many military and law enforcement organizations in some countries still use M1911A1 pistol, such as Marine Force Recon, Loa Angeles Police Departement, SWAT FBI Delta Force. Wahington Police Department made history has been 50 years adopt the M1911 as its official caeey weapon. Army Marksmanship Unit developed M1911. The M1911-A2 that was launh in late 2004 is a new generation of M1911.
